If you watched that game and thought we deserved to lose you need to get some glasses. We lost because they had 11 men behind the ball, fluked a goal and got a second with a lot of luck involved in that too, not least the fact that the scorer shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

It wasn’t a fluke that we were hopelessly exposed on the left every time the ball broke in midfield… Ake needed cover and the continuance of giving it to Doku to run at the defender (who had an excellent game) and lose possession to invite those attacks on was madness

Unfortunately Pep got it very wrong today

Ooof! that was tough to watch.
It was the first match in months that I've felt we're not coming back from this one.
-Ake was burned by Neto at least twice.
-Kova carried sloppiness from last game
-Nunes invisible
-Foden has light years to go if he want to play centrally and if I'm being honest, games like this don't do a lot for his case.

Phillips actually played a little better than last match but still not enough.

Worried about next Wednesday at Leipzig. Hopefully this is not the start of a bad run of games.

I don’t think Pawson was the reason for the result today but he was god awful for both sides… no idea how Hee-Chan didn’t get a second yellow (Walker bought both fouls but they were both late and clear yellow), and the one where he pulled back their play when their player was in on our back 4 was laughable

9:yellow cards in a game that was aggressive but certainly not dirty is also a mystery to me (Dippers and Spuds game sounded similar on the radio home)

It’s about time Pep started to call out the manhandling of Haaland that’s a tactic that is being used by everyone

First time in a couple of seasons we look short in numbers, Yes players picking up injuries are part of the game and sadly ours are major players that are missing, I hope the club can rethink and in the winter window and add some players to the squad.

Said earlier in the thread that it's just a Bad day today and we take it on the chin and move on, So no need to throw the toys out of the pram because we will find a brighter day

Object of football... Score more goals than the opposition. Winning team gets three points, losers get nothing. Three points go to the better team.

All this fancy Dan 70% possession, 20+ shots stuff means bugger all if you don't outscore the opposition.

We have flattered to deceive up to now this season.

No, 3 points go to the winning team, not the better team. If you're trying to say that there's never been a match where a team has won when they didn't deserve to, or lost a match they didn't deserve to, that's compete nonsense.

despite of Ake's all time horrendous game I think we should play him again in the next game against Arsenal.
Due to absence of Rodri , Kovačić not so great in defense , lets go with Gvardiol on the DM postion and fuck that all.
