Garbage. If we got three points today- it would have been an absolute robbery. MAYBE we deserved a draw.

That’s true that the best team doesn’t always win. However, today we were very poor. If we’d lost at West Ham we’d have been unlucky but not today. Always going to have ridiculous possession as most of the league just sit in and let us have the ballSorry but you don't get those kind of stats by playing shite, and it's time some people on here got it into their heads that the best team doesn't always win. Always has been the case always will be because it's not an exact science and never will be.
Of course it's all that matters in the final reckoning, but that's completely different from being second best. We lost today but no way were we the second best team on the park.
Stats mask so many things that only the eye can see.The fact is that goals are the only 'stat' that matters. As such, the team that scores the most goals is always the better team on the day.
The record books will show Wolves as being the better team on 30/9/2023 because the score is all that matters.
The team that wins the league is the best team over the season.
We were second best today, simple as that.
We have, yet we’re still top of the league.Object of football... Score more goals than the opposition. Winning team gets three points, losers get nothing. Three points go to the better team.
All this fancy Dan 70% possession, 20+ shots stuff means bugger all if you don't outscore the opposition.
We have flattered to deceive up to now this season.
I think today was a regression to the mean for some of the new folks. Injuries gave them premature opportunities. They had some exceptional performances early on and probably set artificially high expectations. But realistically, all (except Kova) came in late in the window. No preseason with the team, plus I can’t even imagine they’ve even had much significant time to really practice with the run of games and Pep’s surgery. I think we will see those exceptional performances again, but we just need time.
