Wolves PL (A) | Post Match Discussion

But that’s part of my point. Every single set of fans in the country think their team is hard done by the officials and talk about countless examples of it from week-to-week.

Wolves fans were going mad at the ref yesterday and were chanting ‘Premier League, corrupt as fuck’ about four different times because our players weren’t shown yellow cards and Walker not shown a second yellow.
When we get the league chairmen coming out saying maybe the league needs some new winners (if we stop winning it) then I'll believe you that they aren't out to get us :)

Shake things up a bit. Revert to the false 9 for a while
So you think we should drop Haaland? We won the treble with a striker. The differences this season(although before yesterday we had a perfect record in the league anyway) we’re playing with a man less in midfield and obviously have no Gundo and KDB. Maybe play with one forward again. The problem with that is Alvarez is in good form but despite him playing a little deeper there is no doubt it leaves us with less in midfield than with our usual system.

So much overreaction it’s crazy. It was a fuck up yesterday no doubt. The subs killed our game. I think we’ll be fine once Stones/Bernardo is back in the team.

We don't have to drop him. Traditionally, Pep has played the false 9 formation with small target men but similar to what Kane did at Spurs, Erling would have to learn to drop into that AM role every now and then. Right now he just stands up front making his movements very predictable.
His link up play is nowhere near good enough for that role. He’s not Harry Kane and never will be. He’s a goal machine with immense physicality. He’s not suddenly at 23 going to turn into prime Rooney or Kane who could play either role brilliantly. Certainly not at this level anyway

He's a very smart player and more than capable of adopting a new system. Don't make it sound like he's some muscle head footballer who's only intetested in scoring goals
