Wolves PL (A) | Post Match Discussion

Some positives after yesterday

Top of the league after 7 games despite loads of injuries. If we're still there or there abouts when the likes of KDBget back we'll piss the league.

The ridulous "city could win every game this season" bollocks will shut up.

We all know we have a game like yesterday in us, nothing new. It's not hurt us too much in the past.

After the Liverpool game, the VAR conspiracy nuts, and there's plenty on here, might just have to realise that it's not a conspiracy. It's just incompetence., an awful lot of incompetence.
The odd VAR 'howler' takes the heat off the countless utterly baffling decisions we see week-in-week-out. Plus, it's not only VAR, it's the bullshit skewed application of the 'play on' rule, the disparity in the application of the LOTG, the lack of sanction for 'persistent fouling' and other such one-sided bullshit. Add to that the stat padding with a flurry of cards for opposition players late on and it's easy to see how the officiating 'team' can effect the outcome of the game, deliberate or not.

He's an enormous loss to us at the moment. I just hope we can get him fit and keep him fit. He's had a fair few injuries to date and is approaching the age of 30. We will have to be very careful in how we manage him. He's just one of four world class players currently missing in our midfield.
Stones has always had injuries like this, it’s just the way his body is.

I was there yesterday and I’m not going to flap but was a bit worried about our intensity or lack of plus our ball retention was shite not our usual high standards the only decent player was Alvarez he worked his bollocks off , but Pep will get us going again as always

His link up play is nowhere near good enough for that role. He’s not Harry Kane and never will be. He’s a goal machine with immense physicality. He’s not suddenly at 23 going to turn into prime Rooney or Kane who could play either role brilliantly. Certainly not at this level anyway
He has immense physicality but spends the entire 90 minutes in wrestling matches. He ended up on the floor countless times yesterday. I wasn’t aware that off the ball holding pulling and pushing was within the lotg. Maybe pep should be calling that out as it is certainly affecting his game this season.

That was pretty pathetic. sideways backwards. Ref was shite but wolves were the better team. Not good enough
I remember City teams from the past who couldn’t string 3 passes together.this wonderful team can pass a team to death. It’s wonderful football breathtaking at times. I love a sideways backward pass. The ref had a pretty decent game too and we must congratulate wolves for beating this amazing team of ours

It looked like this ' the players will be burnt out with too many matches' quote that Pep likes to keep peddling out hit home with the players yesterday. That was a lethargic looking performance and we're only seven games in to the season. With a few injuries already the drop off in quality on the subs bench is alarming, that's why I don't think we can afford to rotate much at the minute. Bobb, Gomez, Phillips, Lewis, two keepers, isn't strong enough although I rate Bobb highly and I would give him a prem start soon.

We're missing Kev more than we could imagine for that creativity, the only player who can read Erling. The Newcastle game I can forget all about, but this game was a bit of a concern, quite a bit for Pep to ponder over for the next two matches

I’d hardly call missing three players ann injury crisis. Rodri red was brain dead so in total we where missing 4 players. To put it into perspective

The squad is simply too small and is lacking in quality in depth. These results will happen

We're missing arguably 4 of our most important players though. Including the 2 best midfielders in the world.
