I certainly wouldn't have taken off Nunes. He was far better than Kovacic and who cares if the fans were booing him as we were already 1-0 down.
 
First goal is shit but Phil again not helping out his defence and jogging back while ake struggled

Not confident about that one after watching that today. They are 3 x better than Wolves.
 
We got away with a tiny squad and minimal injuries last season. No such luck so far this season and our lack of depth was sorely exposed.

Still it’s not the end of the world and beware a wounded City. If we can get Stonesy and Bernie back for next week we’ll still give them a shake.
 
The drop off when Rodri is not playing is stark, it’s just too much of a drop off and that’s the shocking thing. Yes we all know that Rodri is the most crucial piece but you should expect that still the team is at a competent level. But without him control goes out of the window and the team looks like a husk of itself.
 
Got what we deserved which was nothing.

not a single player showed any urgency or desire and it was as bad as the Newcasle game midweek if not worse. Too many players going through the motions even at the end of the game... we have lost the experience/charachter of KDB, Rodri and Gundo and not replaced it nor are the the players we have brought in as creative and questions over the charachter of some of the midfield especially...

The narrative behind Nunes fed into the game as well but professional players should be able to deal with pressure and some of those on the pitch today didnt.

Wolves defended deep and did what teams were doing a few seasons ago against us....hit on the break.....

We will need to improve but but with injuries and a lack of quality in squad depth its going to be a fight this season
 
We've been spoilt to be honest but that has to be as bad as we've seen under Pep
Even he had no idea albeit from the stands. Haaland Foden Doku Alvarez and Bobb and we created zip...very worrying
 
We got what we deserved today. We were shocking. From start to finish we were slow, lethargic and predictable.

The only player to come standout today was Akanji, Possibly Doku seen as he's the only one who tried to make something happen.

The goals we conceded was something you'd see on a Sunday morning.

At least the rags lost.
 
Top and bottom of it is that we shouldn't be losing to sides like this. One fuckin' shot on target and it delivers two goals. They've had the usual statistical battering handed out to most teams and they've had the lion's share of Lady Luck. We must get to grips with the finishing. Twenty three fuckin' shots to their three.

A little bit of cheer but not enough - Rags have lost at home!

This result is a combination of things. Rodri’s absolutely braindead stupidity, Peps stupidity getting booked in a meaningless game and then the team lacking leadership and direction during the game.

Absolute dogshit. Some players didn't perform today but make no mistake, that result is on pep and pep alone. Set up the team completely wrong and then made it even worse with the changes. the setup second half had the look of a pre-season game when the manager has rotated out the entire 11 and tried to make things fit as best as possible.

Wolves deserved it and our ridiculously small squad is already being highlighted.
 
Rubbish from start to finish.

Really annoyed with Foden the most, who went missing the entire match.
