Wolves PL (A) | Post Match Discussion

We never really got going today..none of our players seemed to be at it..but when you consider the amount of influential players missing it's easy to understand the lack of fluency.
Pawson was his usual fucking cuntish self..and no I'm not blaming him for the loss but fuck me how the hell Hwang didn't get a second yellow was beyond belief.
Pawson let so many niggly fouls from Wolves go unpunished yet couldn't blow quickly enough when we did anything.
Hopefully we get Bernie Stones etc back as soon as possible as we need a lift.
Every season we lose a game that we should win easily and we usually win the league..
We will play better next week I'm sure

Two games on the trot. Fucking rubbish. Absolute fucking rubbish.

I'm beginning to wonder why Haaland gets picked to start. He's been about as effective as Lee Bradbury in the last few games.

We played like a relegation side today.
Since the back end of last season Haaland just hasn't performed.

His goal stats are very much skewed dye to having a half season purple patch.

Play with normal wingers against teams like this Foden left Doku right at least get to the byline and pull it back. We looked leaderless and zero creativity in middle, needs to sort it before Arsenal or we will get bummed

Couple of notes:

- The Rodri red looks more and more stupid every game. 0/2 since his suspension and the next game is vs Arsenal …

- Ake was shocking. He was eaten alive by Neto today.

- Nunes was dreadful. Offered absolutely nothing with the ball!

- Zero service was provided for Haaland all game

Lastly a positive note. It’s only one loss.. last season City were 8 points behind and won the title. This is the hardest league in the world and losses are inevitable especially against relegation level teams. Carry on! City is still the best team in the land.

A draw should have been the correct result. The winning goalscorer should have been sent off. We weren't brillant but still had chances to at least get something out of the game.

We missed Rodri's control, linking of defence and attack and we had nobody to really dictate the pace.

I think we're quite unbalanced at the moment as well. Only Walker on the right side until late on, so no threat from that side. Foden pretty much played central which meant we couldn't really stretch their defence and it all became too congested to play through the middle.

Have a player wide right, one wide left and stretch the defence, that should leave more gaps infield for our creative players to exploit.

That’s Haaland, give him the ball in front of goal he will stick it away
If that’s not happening he has no impact on a game and we’ve got 10 men

It’s the goal scorer v footballer debate but I personally can’t see how someone with Haalands footballing ability can win a Ballon dor

I’d say he’s in the bottom 10% of technical ability in our squad and that might be generous

Dont think its as simple as saying 'win next week' after watching that im afraid, miles and miles off it.
Its bad enough seeing a performance like that but where was the hunger to try and get a point? Did we seriously threaten once after they scored their second?
You mean apart from their desperate goal line clearance?

Disappointing today but not like we didn't expect it to be tough.

Lots of fitness issues at the moment - loads of players injured and suspended and unfit. Pep banned from the touchline. Referee giving a very strange performance from the first to the last.

Also, Wolves did just play very well. They kept Haaland quiet, they gave Foden and Alvarez virtually no space to create, they wasted time and got us rattled (it's their right) and they used Neto really effectively.

We obviously missed Rodri but we wouldn't have missed him anywhere near as much if Stones, De Bruyne, and Bernardo weren't also injured. Seemed pretty clear as well that Kovacic and Ake weren't fit either.

We just need to get through the next few weeks. They're going to be difficult. Not looking forward to the Emirates at all. But once we've got everyone back it should start clicking into place. Long, long way to go.

Better to drop a clanger like this in September than April. I mean, we were inconsistent until about March last season and then something just clicked into place. We just need to make sure that happens again.

Well here's our usual slow start to the season turned up. I actually didn't expect us to have so many points on the board although on paper the fixtures have been kind.

I kind of expected us to lose today. Shitty weather, hostile atmosphere when they're on it, key players missing and a few recent signs we're a bit frazzled.

Fucked the next few days up as I'll have to avoid anything football related as the hysteria by the media will be in overdrive.

No team can afford to lose world class players like KDB, Stones, Bernardo and Rodri and not suffer a bit. When the fuck are Stones and Bernardo coming back?? They seem to have been almost ready for ages.

If the dippers drop points we are still top. I can't say I'm looking forward to Arsenal though.
To be fair the hysteria overdrive won’t just be in the media, plenty right here right now.
