Wolves post match

The problem tonight was the lack of movement off the ball. But when you're playing 90% of the game in about 30 yards worth of space then I suppose it is quite tricky.

But if we had have scored then we wouldn't have got that great penalty shoot-out... Eggs, omelettes etc..

I've been Bravo's biggest critic but he won us that tonight with 3(?) saves/blocks and obviously the penalty saves. Very happy for him, and us that he's actually looking like a real goalkeeper! Hallelujah.

Anyway I had a good night and had a good laugh down in 114 for a change. It was a great turnout and most stayed until the end, which when it finally came was pretty joyous. Until we got out into the rain. But even that was better that the smoke filled air of the first half. I really would not have wanted to be running around taking big lung-fulls of that shit!

Just got home. What the f#ck was that !
Our luck has clearly changed because Wolves should have won it.
IMHO worst performance by a City side since Pep arrived and why Pep failed to make the substitutions until so late in the game I will never know.
Not his finest hour as City's Manager from a tactical point of view.
MOTM by a mile was Bravo which really highlights how poor the whole team played. Need a major improvement v WBA.
Hope Wolves get automatic promotion because their fans were incredible.

The problem is he has to give the squad players a run out now and then and that side should have had enough about them to get the job done in 90 minutes. Sterling, Aguero, Jesus, B Silva in midfield, anyone would think that was enough to get the job done. Some of the fringe players probably confirmed what he knew, they aren't up to it, but he has to give them game time in case of injuries. B Silva has been a big disappointment for me so far but I know it is early days.

It goes in as a win on pens. Definitely
Did we win the league cup final v Liverpool or draw it?

I get what you mean but there are plenty that share my initial take. I think it might be one of those that it depends who you ask. No doubt we will claim it. Not sure if there is an official body that records it as a record or not.

Is going through on away goals a win? You win the tie but not the game necessarily. I know it's different but there is some grey area.

In the World Cup if it's a draw after ET it's recorded as a draw on the country's all time WDL record and I think it's the same for clubs.

It should be a win in my opinion but it's not clear cut...

114 was actually quality. plenty of people singing and we actually stood up, which i wasnt sure would happen. i never noticed how small the away section was

Sorry, the defence was terrible. If they had a Premier League standard striker, we’d have lost.

It's all relative. We'd obviously never play that back 4 against better opposition. That's pretty much as disjointed of a back 4 as you can get, none have been regulars, one has made a handful of appearances or the club, and one isn't even a defender. I think you could put any of them in with the other 3 regulars and they'd step up adequately. My point was though that the defence wasn't the reason we struggled so much tonight. now that was mainly thanks to Bravo but the issue was going forward not defensively.

Pleased for Bravo, and I thought Zinchenko had a reasonable first half, but then faded.

Bernardo needs time to adjust to the pace of the English game, but otherwise, it was the same old story of resting too many players and then wondering why everything seems so slow and pedestrian.

I actually got a song going along the SS. Just like the old days...

Yeah it felt really narrow once you were in there. I bet it's a great experience for away fans, if a little intimidating. Which is no bad thing.

what i found really annoying was 115 and the corner just sing completely different songs at the same time. it was hard to know who to join in with. it was a good laugh though.yea it felt narrow and small and tbh i think from there the stadium doesnt look that big.
