We didn't have the personality as a team to impose our game on Wolves. We felt tired and just decided to defend the box. Pep took KDB off. Mahrez went off. Sterling went into hiding and isn't the best at holding the ball up anyway. I feared at 2-0 they'd get one back straight away and from that moment I knew they'd win. At 75 mins or so, I began to hope but it wasn't to be.

Wolves over-powered us. It's not our season in the league for a variety of reasons. Hard to take a defeat but we should learn as a group and as fans because that is the time your failings get exposed and you have the chance as an individual to see your errors and do something about it.

The trouble for us is that Otamendi and Fernandinho are lions, but both players legs are going. We can do nothing as a team until Laporte returns. We will just have to soldier on and minimise the damage. I have wondered ever since Laporte got injured as to whether Fernandinho and Ota was the right call when we have two young central defenders. It's a big call to make but young players like Foden, Rashford, Trent etc have all played at a very young age. For me ota and fernandinho are incredibly poor that it's just not tenable to rely on them. What else can we do? Clearly now Pep is going to stick with them until Laporte returns.

Writing is on the wall for Stones unless he really seizes his chance. He has been getting injuries every 2-3 games and I don't think Pep feels he can play him. He may have to in the coming days.

We need to come through this period but it's going to be difficult with a glaring weakness in the squad.

All good points Marvin but last night I just felt that Pep got it wrong. It was, for me, glaringly obvious that the ball was not being retained well enough by Sterling, that’s why he should have come off instead of KDB. He could of played six in midfield, with De bruyne in an almost false nine role. I just felt we would have kept the ball better and knicked it.

When did I say anything about most on that list? Mendy, Mahrez and Bravo aren’t good enough though I agree. I don’t agree them two kids are saviours. You just ignore explaining why Cancelo never plays though.

Impressed with the boys. Bad result in the end. Eddie was stupid and does that too many times. But the boys taking a 2 goal lead with a man down was impressive. Tired legs cost us but they worked so hard it was to be expected.

Season is over but there's still a lot to play for so these sort of games will make us tougher.

I find it difficult to like a lot of modern footballers. Lack of character, fortitude and generally behave like smacked arses when things don't go their way.

You might need a new sport then mate. There’s too much money in the game now for us to have anything else, City and our beloved owners have contributed to it too. I’m with you in some respects, I hate seeing anyone pull out of a challenge but it’s the way it’s going to be now

I'll tell ye what lads.. Benjamin Mendy, after 2 years of injury hell put his head where it hurts last night. A lot of our players now aren't going for that ball.

He's got the minerals that lad. Ok, bad mistake, but he wasn't the only one. A bit of slack needs to be cut for him.
