Losing Kompany and then Laporte killed the team and put us at a disadvantage compared to the previous season. Those two were a rock at the base of the team. Without them the team is fragile. That resulted in Ferna not playing in his most influential position. Add to that the brainless one playing at left back, we were fucked from the first game.

Not for the first time we've proved we can't cope playing against direct runners or players with any for of trickery/pace. As soon as we're without the ball we seem to be clueless. I wasn't expecting much when we went down to ten men but being 2 up you'd think we could at least get something out of the game. Sloppy Sterling and that idiot Mendy cost us and it's not the first time either. All we have is the Cups but in knockout football given current form I don't fancy us winning anything this year. Time to regroup and refresh that team.
