Sorry don't agree. Look what she has to deal with, 3/4 different central defenders to partner a nervously poor keeper positionally all over the place behind her gifting goals, weak midfield and most of all a team decimated with injuries. Nobody had a good season and I include fans favourites Hasegawa and Park. This girl is genuine world class and at 25 a nailed on starter for Spain and will prosper with great players at Barcelona. She never let us down and gave 100%, seemed genuinely in touch with the fans and very popular with the players. Thanks Laia and best of luck in the future!
99% agree. After a new coach, getting a replacement is top of the summer to do list. Going to be very difficult to get a player of matching quality.

The 1% of disagreement is "nobody had a good season". For me, if we ask the question "were they better than the year before?" I'd say Mary Fowler did.

Other players had mitigating factors of a) being injured (Hemp + Shaw) b) being played out of position (Park) and c) being played too much (Give Yui a break!). b and c a knock on effect of other players' injuries. A very vicious circle.

Fair comment . Yui gets picked every game and needs a back up next season, or maybe a strong physical player as CM so she can move into a more attacking role, and yes Mary was one of the positives!

You're welcome to disagree, and whilst I agree with some of your comments, I think she's been a part of the problem. She's known where she was going for months.

The original sin was going into last season 2 defenders light (first choice left back and a better first choice back up centre half) and 2 midfielders light (first choice 6/8 to play alongside Yui and a back-up in that position.) The signings in January improved the situation, but there wasn't really enough rotation in the first half of the season.

The game that stands out was St Polten at home. Effectively a dead rubber, Greenwood plays and gets injured and then defensively the season falls apart.

Seeing the Raggettes getting ragged, strange to see an all white football, like we used to have.
I had a sniff of what the BBC were making of it and part way through the second half they said that Toone had threaded a wonder pass but it was cut out before it got to the intended target. How does a pass that gets cut out become a 'wonder'! And they labelled the Ragettes as 'Champions' 'cos they won the FAC last season. Yer not Champions but Holders!

I see CWFC, although they have CFCW emblazoned on their end of game flags, regard themselves as 'unrivalled' Barca Femenin beg to differ!

Loving the media silence on their new investor.

They are aiming for European dominance and some off the books payments to get around wage caps might help. It's not as if the organisation has a habit of finding ways to circumvent rules. Shame it's only us that get scrutinised for any alleged skulduggery.
