Well as things stand Stanway will be next... Lyon will pick off our best player each season - it’s so easy and no one can blame the players for going. Someone should legally challenge the salary cap in the women’s game. The FA cannot defend having a salary cap in the women’s game and not in the men’s game - it’s a restrictive practice based solely on gender.
 
Surely a salary cap in the womens game but not the men's is discrimination as there can never be equal pay. Why hasn't it been legally challenged?

Legally speaking you would have to think so.

I think the FA brought it in to allow the national team to grow and develop accordingly, and from that point of view they have been justified because the top teams in England predominantly play English/ British players in their title race hunts and CL campaigns.

I think the FA were worried about the WSL becoming another Premier League because the finances available at the respective parents clubs, the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and now United and Spurs will just end up filling their squads with more and more foreign players and not prioritise English player development.

The WSL clubs may well be developing more and more top class English players but as a product it has just backfired as the best talents are leaving the league because of the salaries on offer, and the very best foreign players know they can earn better elsewhere as well therefore making the league year on year a second rate division.

If there was no salary cap I am pretty confident that within time you would see the likes of Hegerberg etc playing in England.

If the FA want more and more young girls getting involved in football it those types of players that need to be being watched over here.

I see Nikita Parrish has announced she's leaving the club, I assume she has deliberately run her contract down? She is only 25, award winner and leading goal scorer.

I see she didn't play the last match at Arsenal, which is our first league defeat of the season. I hope she's not off to the rags? Could be Lyon?

Anyone know what's happening?

I think transfer fees in the women's game are rare as rocking horse shit, so it is irrelevant that she has run her contract down, whether deliberately or not.

I know it's a pitty as I'm sure she's a blue , but it's her career and if she don't thinks she not part of the future at City I can't blame her , expect she will fit into her favourite position ie centre back , instead of being played anywhere as a stop gap .
