Think we will know halfway through the season how good Taylor is as a manager just of this game he seemed in shock at being the manager did nothing to counteract Chelsea also why did Chelsea look fresher fitter that’s one thing as team you should be up to scratch with.

Wasn't sure where to put this but just watched the community shield highlights on BBC news and she's got to do better from there. She shouldn't be getting beat from 40 yards. Disappointed, hope she gets her act together for the new season

40 yards lol. BBC Sport say 25 yards and it might have been up to 30 yards max IMHO. Did you make the same comments about Kasper Smeichel when Vinny scored they belter against Leicester?

I have thought more about Chelsea’s first goal. it was a brilliant strike by Bright and I think Ellie should have got closer to it but it would have took a brilliant save to deny the goal. For example, I am not sure they Ederson would have saved that shot.

Chelsea were much better than us on the day but half our team is likely to change over the coming weeks with 2 recent World Cup winners and a Ballon D’or in the side. We will have much more running power in midfield and our weakness at right fullback will be addressed.

Really disappointed watching today match , didn't think Chelsea where that great , just that we were really woeful, Chloe Kelly looked good but most of the rest of the team just didn't turn up !
Didn't hear any of the midfielders, Keira Wash or Caroline Weir !
Hopefully next week (first game) some of the rustiness will be gone and a kick up the arse should help and we can have other good season.
I agree. I thought we were very poor. Pedestrian in moving the ball, giving it away far too often and having zero cutting edge. Hope some of the new signings can kick some energy into the squad, we looked second best to Chelsea in every aspect. If their Australian forward was anything near her usual, that would have been a very embarrassing scoreline.

I watched the whole game and other than their goal she was by far our best player. Good with the feet and her positioning every time they were through 1 on 1 (it happened a great deal) was very good. The goal was well hit and had quite a bit of dip on it. She still should have done better though.

Just watched it and I have to say she will or should be disappointed with that effort, a stutter step the wrong way has cost her dear but the ball went in the net nowhere near the top corner of the goal, dipping or not it was a poor effort.

As for the distance, it is an 18 yard box and if you take the difference between that and the penalty spot and then reverse it the other way it has to be close to 30 yards out.

Nice goal to score, disappointing if you are the keeper.

I like her and think she is a good keeper, we all misjudge things at times, that is life.

The 'stripes' across Wembley's pitch are 6 yards each. (Deduced from the fact that exactly three fit between goal line and the edge of the penalty area, and that, visually at least, all of the stripes look equally wide.) On that basis, Millie Bright's shot was struck from about 32 yards.

Link will only work in the UK. Apologies.
