Finished 2 nil but could have been a lot worse as the bottom 5 or 6 inc Spurs are pretty poor and there seems to be 3 or 4 leagues in this one, us or Chelsea for the title, Arsenal or Rags for 3rd//4th, Everton 5th, Reading/Brighton then the bottom 5.bollocks :(
As they only scored two it gives us the very faintest of chances if Chelsea draw at home to Reading but we have to win by 4 or 5 now due to goal difference but honestly I cannot see Chelsea not winning

3-0 would be enough if we (Chelsea) draw and score 2 goals or fewer. Goal difference would then be level but you'd take the title on goals scored. I'm sure you're going to score four or more so the niceties won't matter. Spurs could have used signing Alex Morgan for more than a publicity stunt this season (similar IMHO why we signed our Rose) and to sell her sweaty game worn shirt in their charity auction to some dirty bastard. If she would have signed for the season, and acclimated like Sam Mewis has, she would have put some fire into their attack.
Chelsea would have had to account for her. That is for certain.

I don't get why you would sign Dahlkemper and not play her - the more she plays the better for next year. I guess Lavelle and Mewis will not sign on for another year. Taylor seems to be loyal to a small core group which is why we have not reached another level, Lavelle should have had a bigger role this year as it's hard to get any sort of rhythm being in and out. Anyway no chance Chelsea drop points.

We're not even bothering to tackle now. Nearly conceded 'cos we watched a City player just sidestep out of the way of a tackle. We needed to win by four clear and for CFC to slip up today. Not a chance of the former with all the faffing about - sideways, backwards, any which way but forwards. If we put the goals on the halfway line we'd be world beaters. There is no spectacle watching City women these days. No dynamism, little urgency at getting the ball into the oppo area, and the couple of times we've managed it the decision making is grim. Great chance for Beckie to emulate Jesus and cross the ball to White but goes for the narrow angle and a goalie covering the post!
