The goalkeepers were 5'10 to 6ft tall, same size as women's keepers now. No one's ever said the men have outgrown the goal, we should make it bigger now the keepers are all 6'4+ etc.

Not many men were 6' 100 years ago. Go back and look at military draft cards for the First World War. :-)

No. Men now have appropriately sized goals for their height, we should be looking forward and doing the same for women.

It really isn't though is it.

You will be very hard pushed to find a keeper under 5ft 10" particularly in the modern men's game, agile or not, especially in the English leagues.

I know there have been some famous ones in the past, Campos in particular at 5ft 5" but people thought Given was short enough and I believe he is 5ft 10"
