Chelsea only had a few changes while we have made more so till the players gel togther we will be more off a force.

Although we’ve made positive changes to the squad - with hopefully more to come, the changes weren’t really reflected in that starting 11 in the Community Shield. I think when we are at full strength we will give anyone a game provided the new players settle quickly.

should play 80% pitch size and goals. Should focus on improving their sport rather than try and fail to prove a point playing to men's rules.

I've never really understood this obsession with the goals being "too big".

When the size of a football goal was standardised in the 1870's the average man was 11cm/4.5 inches shorter than they are today.

The goalkeepers were 5'10 to 6ft tall, same size as women's keepers now. No one's ever said the men have outgrown the goal, we should make it bigger now the keepers are all 6'4+ etc.

Ultimately all a bigger goal does is lead to a game with more goals. Which is good, especially for attracting fans.

Women keepers are too small compared to the goals.

Women keepers aren't starting from a 6ft base point.

...Karen Bardsley is 6ft. A lot of the female keepers are 5'10+, the same height as the early England mens team Keepers when the height and width of the goal was set.

They are the right height for the goals. The men's keepers are too big.

Wow, you found one. The average height of WSL keepers is like 5ft 8 and a half, for a PL keeper it's 6 foot 3, even keepers like Kepa at 6 ft 1 are renowned for being "too small". All it does is diminish the spectacle because you see soft goals that go in that never should, outfield players don't get forced to develop their technique as much as the men because it's easier to score and the standard of keeping is poorer because of the lack of reach and lack of shot stopping. No shame in tailoring your sport to suit the biological sex playing it.

So you think we should make mens goals bigger?

Because you cannot get away from the fact the average keeper has grown by about 5 inches since the size of the goals were decided, and if you believe in "tailoring" the sport, you must believe in compensating for that massive game-changing increase in height.

Bardsley is 5'11". Yes, that is close to 6' but I wouldn't want someone to nitpick you.

All three recent goalkeepers for the England women's team call-up are listed at 5'9" tall.

The three latest for the U.S. Women's team are listed at 5'9". Of the three recent call ups for the US only one is 6'+.

Hope Solo, possibly the greatest woen's goalkeeper ever and long time USWNT keeper is 5'9".

Where did you get your statistics on a "lot are 5'10"+". Just wondering...

No. Men now have appropriately sized goals for their height, we should be looking forward and doing the same for women.

the average for WSL keepers who have it listed on their Wiki page is 5'8 and a half. Ludicrous to suggest men are too big, he's just wumming for the sake of it.

so women are now as tall as men were 100 years ago. Wow. Just another century till women's football is relevant then, how backward are you.
