Good season overall for City Women - we took an age to get going and that's certainly what cost us the league - we also need a stronger mentality in big games - allowed Barcelona to dominate us when we were possibly the better side. Need to be firing from the opening weekends next season and certainly need to convert more chances.

We need to be more ruthless up front and I can only assume that Mewis and Lavelle will return to the US - so we have an opportunity to bring in a couple of excellent players to bolster the squad. Hope Kelly recovers okay because she is phenomenal. I know Taylor has his critics but he's certainly done enough to earn another season.
I agree Gareth Taylor should be given another season at least, Also yes need a couple more signing, a new Jill Scott, ie someone to the dirty work in midfield, breaking up the opponents play, and a top class striker, if Chelsea and Arsenal can fetch in top class foreign stars surely we can too !
We also need too get our stars fit too , the injuries the defence add this season where shocking and I think cost us in the big games (Barcelona away ,Chelsea home) ?
Chloe kelly was outstanding, but Lauren Hemp was outstanding too if not better for me.

Whenever we get into 'treacle' mode - twenty plus passes from goalie to halfway line and back again - I'm yelling 'Give it to Lauren!" There's not many full backs in the WSL that she hasn't sailed past.

Think she was the player of the season for me , Chloe kelly just behind.

Surprised there was no place for Hemp tbh

It's not over yet ! West Ham @ home on Sunday in the FA Cup, let's get that won.
Yes noticed we've got them in the cup , also seen the next round, the quarter finals a long with the semi's all being put back till later September and October with the Final in November (I think ?).

I know it's been delayed by Covid, but why is it so late, don't even seem to be any internationals this summer ?

The FA have joined forces with mobile networking company EE to present the final which will be played on Sunday December 5, 2021 at Wembley.

The decision to choose this day is a poignant one as it marks the exact date a 100 years ago when the FA banned women's football.

Kelly Simmons, Director of Women’s Professional Game said using the date was a "fitting" tribute to all the female trailblazers who have played the sport.

She said: "To mark the competition’s 50th anniversary, we felt it was fitting to schedule the 2021 Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final on 5 December, a date for many which represents the game’s lowest ebb.

We want to use the Cup Final day, always one of the most special in the calendar, as a platform to celebrate the game’s historic trailblazers.

Watching our best players at one of the best stadiums in the world, will hopefully continue to inspire a new generation to fall in love with women’s football.

The competition restarted at the end of March and has reached the fifth round stage which fixtures will be played from May 16 to May 20.

The quarter-finals will take place on Wednesday 29 September , and the semi's a month later on Sunday 31 October.

The FA seem to planning a celebration after the final game which could see fans in attendance.

Their press release said: "More details of the celebrations to be held and ticket details will be released in due course."

This decision is in line with the men's game who the FA have allowed to have fans at the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals.

The Carabao Cup final between Tottenham and Man City last month had 8,000 fans in attendance.

And this amount will be extended to 21,000 for the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Leicester City.

She is my player of the season too. She offers something a little different to the rest of the team, fast, skilful and has a good shot on her too. Would like to a bit more of Jess Park as she appears quite speedy as well.

They only started a ladies team because they were being made to look cheapskate, which is exactly what they are.
Can only be a matter of time until Phil Chuckle turns up there to manage the Women's Rags... I really don't think he'll last long in Miami... maybe Rooney could go to Miami next! Keep the seat warm until the family man is on parole... IF he goes down - which I'm not sure he will.

Why would anybody want to employ Giggs, he obviously is a very nasty person. You wouldn’t want him anywhere near a ladies team.

Totally agree - he's a twat but I meant in Miami - I can see Beckham giving his mate a job.

I'd love it, just love it, if City have lined up Stoney to replace Taylor, she's a top coach!
