Playing a competent goalkeeper, who plays at a certain minimum standard guaranteed, is essential for any team to be successful. That imho is the biggest single issue our women’s team have.80+ mins in and we can all see a few simple things that would make the team better, unfortunately Taylor doesn't. White is terrible and she cannot complain about lack of service she has been given 5 or 6 good chances and has not even got a shot away. We buy Barca's captain yet don't build the midfield around her. He sticks with a keeper that should not be anywhere near a professional team. Let's not forget we are playing a team that has a goal difference of minus 19 and 1 point yet they seem better organised than us. Taylor should go this is simply not good enough.

I'm not so sure what 'our best' looks like anymore. I've only watched this on the MDC but 74% possession of which, I suspect, 99% will be between the halfway line and ten yards from the Birmingham penalty area. We rely too much on a moment of quality from individuals to snatch a goal. The 26% Birmingham had could have resulted in half a dozen goals had they known where the goals were. Our defence is like a collander. It's good to snaffle the points but this should have been a comfortable win, sewn up by HT. I did notice that the possession stat and the fouls stat seems to mirror what the men end up with lion's share of ball by a mile and the lion's share of the fouls and cards!Well done City Women. A battling display when we were far from our best. We got that third goal and the football started flowing for a few minutes, in between running down the clock. We need to take any win atm.
