Been a while since the womens team won the league etc and why do players seem to move more ? Will we get to a point like Chelsea women or our men’s team where we can dominate like we looked like doing early on

Hot weather and better shops seem to be the main driver.

Chelsea have by far the biggest budget due to their success and the wages CAP and put it to good use. They have by far the best quality squad especially as nobody else in the UK can compete with them or any European side for wages.

We're currently vying for 3rd best with United behind Chelsea and Arsenal and don't seem to be able to improve enough to beat either above us consistently. We're a Cup side and can beat them in one offs but lose regularly in the League to both. 1 point out of 6 so far this season.

Don't be surprised to see us raided again for our best players by the likes of Bayern, Barca, Madrid or Lyon. We can't compete. Won't be surprised if Hempo has been "tapped up" and goes at the end of the season. Shed likely treble her money in Spain. Goes to show why the women's teams will always be 2nd rate in this country and why even Arsenal and Chelsea can't win the CL yet they persist with telling us wage caps are such a good thing. It's bullshit they're selling and I'm not buying.

Is any of it down to spending restrictions

Wages are just as high in the WSL, maybe women just like a change of scenery more than men?

How much do female footballers get paid in Spain?

The minimum salary for next season will be €22,500, with the potential to rise up to €25,000, and the minimum salary for the final season covered by the agreement has been set at €23,500, potentially increasing to €28,000.

How much do the WSL players get paid?

In 2023, the average annual salary in the FA Women's Super League was around 47 thousand British pounds, with the highest yearly salary amounting to over eight times this sum. However, even the highest earners in the FA WSL earn significantly less than the average Premier League footballer.

It’s same for Arsenal Women as well, 6 minutes injury time in the first half, they score in the 48th minute to lead, it’s getting ridiculous now with all this added on time.

A little heads up for those of us heading to the Joie stadium tomorrow by public transport. There are NO trams running on the Ashton line. Bury/ Rochdale teams only going to Victoria, Altrincham trams only going to Picc gardens. Everything else is stopping at various other stops outside of Piccadilly.
Also it is going to be wet and windy, lovely weather to walk in.

Is that all day?
