Woolwich killing

For anyone who is of the opinion that the reaction or action we are taking now is how we should continue. I urge you to please listen to this podcast.

<a class="postlink" href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/common-sense-with-dan-carlin/id155974141" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/com ... d155974141</a>

It is show 251 Self inflicted defensive wounds.

I am not saying that he is right (he is an american and it is about the USA's reaction to the Boston Marathon bombings) but I must say that where I was once more in favour of a retaliatory approach, the points that he raises have changed my mind.

He never justifies the act as I would never justify the horror in Wollwich but he does go some way to explaining better than pretty much anyone one here the alternative view that so many on this thread struggle (as is their right) to understand.

Any way anyone who does listen let me know what you think.

I wont use itune do you have another link ?

Why do our police protect these fundamentalists? The ones that call for the death of non-believers and want to behead every Tom, Dick and Harry. Why are we not severely beating them within inches of their life then fucking them back off to their wonderful muslim lands. We are too soft.

Yes being liberal is nice but when people take the piss and start takin liberties they need stopping.

Imagine us protesting like them extremists in places in Iran, Saudi etc. Would be the last thing we did.

Devils advocate. Imagine they were flying drones and dropping bombs on us every day how do you think we would (rightly/wrongly) act then.

Right, what this guy has done is very wrong and he should be punished, a bullet in the head I would suggest.

However, I can totally understand thier point of view and reasons for doing it - not that I would do the same as I'm not a nutcase.

Is the killing of this soldier any worse than the hundreds of killings that take place in Irag/Afghan each year by fellow soldiers?
If someone killed your friend, relative or someone you felt a connection to would you not want to take revenge? (I realise it was probably not this actual soldier who killed them)

They will see this, rightly or wrongly, as the only way of stopping Britain continuing wars against Islamic countries.
If we were not in Iraq or Afghan, this murder would not have happened.
Imagine what your reaction would be if someone invaded your homeland, killed thousands of people and bombed loads of buildings and you couldn't do anything to stop it - you would want revenge, which is what these 2 guys have done.

Oh, and why are soldiers 'heroes' but fireman aren't? They risk their lives everyday too, and they do it with the aim of saving lives not taking them. (No I'm not a fireman or know anyone who is)

Last I checked they lived, and were citizens, in ENGLAND, not Iran or Saudi?

I have NO PROBLEM with civil disobedience to make a point. Savage, targeted murder in the streets?

Hang the fuckers.....in the same street!

THIS is the ONLY THING they understand....

I can't believe you are trying to justify what them sick fucks have done.

So if your son got his head chopped off by muslims you would be sympathetic to them.

Do you think British soldiers go around killin random muslims? We cant even fucking shoot without being shot at first. If anyone is caught in the cross fire they took to Bastian ASAP.

Ten minutes in and he hasn't made a single bleeding point yet.

Sorry but fuck that.

Of course they do not go around killing random muslims (but some will) And neither is he justifying it.

I think he is saying that he understands (but still finds abhorrent) the fact that the only logical answer that they have is to act insane.

And I realise that you cannot just go around shooting however the huge number of civilian casualties (peoples loved ones) are not caused by soldiers bullets.
