Right, what this guy has done is very wrong and he should be punished, a bullet in the head I would suggest.

However, I can totally understand thier point of view and reasons for doing it - not that I would do the same as I'm not a nutcase.

Is the killing of this soldier any worse than the hundreds of killings that take place in Irag/Afghan each year by fellow soldiers?
If someone killed your friend, relative or someone you felt a connection to would you not want to take revenge? (I realise it was probably not this actual soldier who killed them)

They will see this, rightly or wrongly, as the only way of stopping Britain continuing wars against Islamic countries.
If we were not in Iraq or Afghan, this murder would not have happened.
Imagine what your reaction would be if someone invaded your homeland, killed thousands of people and bombed loads of buildings and you couldn't do anything to stop it - you would want revenge, which is what these 2 guys have done.

Oh, and why are soldiers 'heroes' but fireman aren't? They risk their lives everyday too, and they do it with the aim of saving lives not taking them. (No I'm not a fireman or know anyone who is)

If history has taught them anything since 2001 everytime they do something like this it becomes a hell of a lot worse for the people they say they are helping. Unfortunatly and very much I should think against there wishes they have lived and life will be very terrible for them

Apparently they don't shoot to 'disable' in a situation like this but shoot at the torso to stop completely.
