Wooney Breaking news on sky

May I add, 7 months ago I had the same injury and I didn't play football for 2 months. 7 months later, my ankle is still weak and still hurts if I have to use my ankle for a long period such as driving etc. It was Rooney's right foot, so in my experience, he won't be back to normal for a long time and even though he'll be playing in 4 weeks time, he won't be confident.

Did they say exactly what it is he's done? Twisted his ankle, or torn the ligaments?

Twisted ankle....... fucking soft arse, when my son did that, he sprayed water on it and ran again within a minute, im telling you i really do think he's tripped over his wallet and stretched the ligaments :-o

A strain is a ligament injury. People hear the word sprain and think it sounds like nothing, but a sprain is a pulling or tearing of the ligament. What Rooney has is a mild grade 2 tear of the ligament.

I was the same mate a couple of seasons ago, however professional clubs have professiona treatment - unfortunately for us he will prob be aiming for the derby match to make his return!
