Wooney Breaking news on sky

I think the best scenario will be for him to be out for the rest of the season , but be fit enough for the world cup.....:)
The best scenario is that he will never play again and neville hurt himself trying to help shrek and he will never play either.

A sprained ankle is still not very good, still quite some damage caused,

i sprained my ankle at a gig back in october, my foot landed awkward like shreks did and give way, but as my foot turned inside that split second someone stood on my foot so you can imagine the pain,

for the first 3 days i couldn't walk, i could barely put any weight on it at all, after that it was alright, but anything apart from walking and you can't do it, i tried running a week after and i couldn't, even now 5 months on i can still sometomes feel little twitches on it when i'm running, playing football or freestyling,

it might feel like it's healed physically but inside in takes alot more time to completely heal, even now all the months on i take precaution on it,

shrek if he plays against us which i doubt, he won't be fully fit and it could easily pull again and it will be in his mind, imo he will be definitely out for the derby match, baconface will only play him if he's 100% fit and he won't be,

footballers are alot more vulnerable and prone to injuries, my ankle took quite some time to feel properly healed, was roughly about 2 months and even now like i said, you can still feel the odd pull every now and again.

Rooney will want to be fit for the world cup so even if he does come back in 3-4 weeks time he wont be as commited in fear of it not being fully right and hurting it again putting him out for months.

If he plays De Jong should test the ankle early doors ;-)

The difference between your leg and his is that he will prob have the best ankle physios in the world with some of the best doctors

He has sprained his ankle about 10 times since he came through its like his injury monkey

true, but the ankle is still always at risk for a month or so after, you've seen so many players re-injure an exisiting injury they have just come back from,

the physio told me even though my ankle had healed, it's still there for further damage.

i'm not saying he will be walking wounded, just saying an injury like this can sometimes be around for longer than a more serious injury after it's been dealth with the problem.

I used to be a pretty decent footballer until an ankle injury eventually ruined my 'career'. I haven't played in 12 years but I still get loads of trouble with it. Probably got to have ankle fusion surgery later this year :-S

Thats what dean ashton had done in the end!!

its only a sprain, he obviously has weak ankles but he will heal and get on with it, like i said he is lucky enough like all modern footballers to have access to the best doctors and physios the world has to offer its not broke and hopefully no ligament damage

I blew my ligaments and the doctor told me i would have been better off breaking my leg as it heals quicker. I didnt even know what to say to the doctor at that point!!!

I have heard happy Blues expressing this view all day and so am far far from alone in thinking this way. And yes I'm very nice thanks ;-)

Me too loving the fact he can miss the derby but cant go wishing permanent injury on someone, even if they are the vile wooney

As it happens, the country is holding its breath, the only cocks are w*****s like you, who could wish the country's best player out. These are the same cocks who would wish the likes of an off form disinterested SWP in.

Even if we were in the running for the title, (which we are not, we are actually holding our breath for fourth) I would hope that Rooney was out for the game, in the derby, but miss the World Cup?

F*** Off!

There is something mentally wrong with you. Lets face it, only voicing the opinions to curry favour on here. Like your comments are remembered or mean W*** all.

Time for bed.

The highlight of your sad infected, attention seeking life.

City Utd 17/04
Spurs Utd 24/04

So touch and go for the Derby if the estimate is accurate. Ideally he'll miss the Derby and be back for Spurs.

The 2-4 weeks will be a guess at this stage

Badly sprained ankle 7-10 days before running again.

Hart did the exact same at Hull, came back in 6 days, but he is a keeper and we had poor cover.

"Get Well Soon" and "The Nation Holds its Breath" have to be two of the most pathetic sports/news headlines I have seen in a long time.

Get a grip Britain FFS.

miss the derby and score the winner against spurs.ideal scenario for me.

Even if he makes the derby he won't be fully fit and he won't play 90mins. Oh and we'll win anyway! :)

If he had missed 6 weeks of football maybe, but 2 weeks is nothing
