I get in bother for asking where She That Must Be Obeyed has put the car keys and helpfully adding that l have looked in all her normal places like the fridge, microwave and washing machine. Its true but l keep forgetting not to say it .
There was a drama on tv the other day where the guy couldn't find what it was he was looking for. His wife had moved it to where she thought it was the tidiest. Mrs Ewing has a knack of doing that kind of stuff and the item often goes in what I would class as the 99th most sensible place to put such an item. Cycling stuff under the stairs! It should be in the garage with the other cycling stuff! But we get sorted in the end.

Off (Off of)
Got (Gotten)
Increase (Uptick)
Beginning (Get go)
Lieutenant ('Lootenant')
Bloody Yanks! Off of and gotten really leave me pissed.
