Reading that reminded me of something commentators say that drives me mental.
Player controls the ball, beats two defenders, sees the keeper off his line, chips him, the ball descends and hits the top of the bar. After calming down, the commentator utters the immortal

He did everything right...

No he fucking didn't, unless he wanted to hit the top of the bar and scald a daft **** sitting with a coffee in the front row.

I had to get that off my chest.

Some very good anti-corporate-speak rants here. Well done. I will add "interface" used as a verb.

Out here on the "left coast" is bad enough, but the real irritant is California referred to by non-Californians as "Cali." Same goes for "Frisco" for San Francisco.

"Bias" (a noun) when someone means "biased" (the adjective). There are roughly two dozen posters on Bluemoon who make this mistake and I take it as an instant sign of stupidity, because I'm biased . . . and usually right about them.

Finally, "Liverpool fan" when someone means "rat-consuming, cardboard-box-living, candle-lighting, fat, victimiz(s)ed, bin-dipping twat."
