Work Christmas Do

we used to organise a buffet and drinks followed by a trip to a westend theatre. then back for more drinks. we had to stop it in the end as it just got out of hand with staff heckling the performers in the theatre and spoiling everyone elses night. then some of them were that pissed they got lost and missed the coach.

we now have a buffet lunch with no booze on the last day of work at lunchtime
 
Got ours next week in the Norfun Qwoortoh (Northern Quarter). I've been tasked with compiling the playlist. Got 7 bleeding hours of music so far!

Downside is, I've recently been promoted. So no longer can I be a drunken mess in the corner, I've got to try and act a bit responsible at the party :o(

I'm freelance, so my only "do" is with a private client, Chief of Security for a huge bank, with his various cronies (military, police, EuroPol, etc) eating wild boar and drinking tsiporo (Greek moonshine, about 2000% proof) at 2.30pm. I shall be date-raped by 3.15, no doubt.
 
Had first one in a Chinese last night in surbiton. Got free party at Hampton Court palace tonight,going to Royal School of Needlework one next Tuesday (loads of birds)got our Finance/IT one next Thursday (going to a Lebanese restaurant) then to Tower of London free party in the Tower,then on Friday got drinks with guys used to work with in NHS
 
I'm recovering from mine right now. I had both an inflatable guitar and microphone on the dancefloor by the end - but only got the microphone home. One of the girls pinched my guitar.

We all did a good synchronised dance to Saturday Night by Whigfield at one point. A particular highlight for me.
 
I got embarrassingly drunk on Tuesday after what was supposed to be an afternoon at the christmas market turned in to a 10 hour session. I still feel like shit and will be giving my works do a miss later today.
