fantastic idea IMO.

will weed out the lazy fuckers.

obviously disabled people or full time single parents etc etc are exempt though!

I like you Ban but you post some poor stuff concerning politics man.

care to explain why you think that?

i cannot understand what people thinks wrong with it? if you're completely fit, able and sane to work and you haven't done so in 2 years then a bit of community service will do you some good.

if i was in a situation where i couldn't work i'd like to do that, at least i'd feel like i'm contributing and it would get me out of the house.

it obviously needs to be looked at properly and peoples circumstances reviewed.... i said it's a great idea, i didn't say whether the tories will do it right or not.

What about part time single parents, and folk who are disabled but don't look as if they are?

the former are of course working and single parents in their spare time from work so they would get benefits for the time they're not working.

and the latter comment is ridiculous, it has to be proven by a doctor obviously.

It was a joke mate, based on you saying 'obviously disabled people'.
But seemingly I am going to hell for making jokes about Nigerian massacres and now disabled folk.
Blueband Brother will be having kittens in his impotent rage.

Don't fuck with that guy, he's mates with God.

We've been here before.
It's nothing new.
We lived through Thatcher and come out the other end.

Middle England are sick to death of scum bags in society bleeding the system dry and taking the fuckin piss out of hard working people and they are trying to kick back at who they conceive as the reason for the countries demise.

Its the ones who are taking the piss who need to be outed.
We all know who they are and what they are about.

They are bringing down public opinion against geniune people who for one reason or another cannot work.

I have worked hard all my life
I have paid my taxes and hopefully been a decent citizen but PC Britain and the liberal do gooders do my bloody nut in.

When middle Englangers get kicked we have to kick someone to mantain the Status Quo.

I saw a guy and he was just mean. I have posted above what happened to me ^

In that case he was out of order.

It's like any big organisation though; sometimes it's good and sometimes it isn't.
When you are in that though you can only do your best for the person in front of you and I, and many of my colleagues, try to do that.
It isn't easy being a social worker as well as trying to improve someone's job prospects.
The barriers to work are varied and immense in some cases, and unfortunately some get caught up in it.
Pretty much like the suggestion today will do.
I would never go on the dole again even if it meant I ate nothing. I had a temporary problem and needed help but it was a total nightmare for me but I suppose they want to make it difficult now for people to claim so I guess it worked on me. And I honestly couldn't criticise anyone on benefits because it's not an easy life at all

You had a bad experience by the sound of things and that shouldn't happen.

However, my mate takes new claims and she is brilliant. 19 year old lad turned up the other day whose Dad had just died. No relations to help him. She went the extra mile and put him in touch with a bloody good local Funeral Directors as he didn't have a clue. She also made sure he knew everything that he could claim to help him with funeral expenses.

We often do stuff like this. It's not within our 'remit' but we are human. ;-)

I'll give you an example of a lad I knew at college. He ended up going to Uni and studying Graphic Design and then achieved his goal as becoming a Graphic designer. He worked there for a year but then the company was declared bankrupt and he was made redundant. He immediately went in search of a new job in that field. 3 months later no luck so he signed on because he had no money. Another month later he started applying for retail and office jobs 6 months later no luck. He ended up at an unregulated call centre where his job description was pretty much to scam people, he developed acute anxiety and left and signed back on the dole. He's now moved back in with his parents getting just job seekers, still suffering from acute anxiety and hardly ever goes out to socialise anymore but yeah I'm sure doing some litter picking for a slave wage will restore pride, I'm sure that's just what the doctor ordered. Has he failed the system or has the system failed him?

I was on the dole for a good 3 months at one point, I have a good education and experience in different types of jobs but struggled to get in the door anywhere apart from telesales. I was treated like scum and the job centre and made to do ridiculous degrading things at jobs interviews for poxy jobs like JJB Sports. Another person would of become depressed and given up all together and can you blame them?

The government are happy to enforce this but still won't discuss enforcing a living wage? Instead they force disabled people off their benefits and the working poor lap this up while the rich/elite get off scot free.

Perhaps you don't have the time to do the research but you will understand what this government is trying to do.

Oh fuck - you're right mate - I forgot he's Pauldominic.
And to think I have been trying to reason with him on the Nigeria thread.
I need a drink.
Or several.
