World Cup and the impact on the squad

Police are currently investigating raids by thieves on the homes of two football stars Raheem Sterling and Bruno Fernandes, both included in their respective international squads for the World Cup in Qatar.
Detectives say that the raid on Sterling's home bagged a substantial haul of medals from his residence including five League Cup medals, four Premier League Winners' medals and numerous other personal honours.
A police spokesman said: "These raids have been highly distressing for both players and their families. The thieves' motive for targeting Sterling's distinguished and valuable medal collection is obvious... the motive behind stealing Bruno's 25m length swimming award and Cycling Proficiency Certificate is not so clear."

Fucking dreading it, to the point where I’m in a mood about this World Cup and won’t be watching it (when I’d usually enjoy it at the end of a season).

I hope the Quarter finals are between Qatar, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Costa Rica, Canada, Serbia and Ghana… get our City boys back to Manchester ASAP!
Same here mate. Not been able to watch any so far due to work and a house move but not sorry to miss our lads fraternising with rags and southgates turgid rubbish. Only pay scant attention to results and injuries just in case any of ours get hurt. Hope they lose tonight and get back home on Monday for a nice rest.

John Stones fucked :(
Yes, I'll be surprised if we get much out of him now thi season unless it's a very minor tweak. He tends to take time to get back to form after injuries too, and spends a fair bit of that time dropping clangers. Still, at least slabhead is fit and can play every game for the rags so not all bad news.
