How so? Wasn't watching.
You misunderstand then. It's the honesty, not feigning injury, not diving when there's minimal contact and even the fucking birds in the women's game don't go down with the same kind of contact as the "men". I don't particularly want a more physical sport, as I've already said, I go and watch rugby league for that; but I want more honest and manly traits shown on a regular basis instead of all this soft arse traits that are portrayed all the time.SebastianBlue said:RandomJ said:KippaxCitizen said:"That's modern day football for you"

...fuck off!
It's ruined this sport, genuinely ruined it. The game has become a pathetic. Yet it's just scated over by everyone, fans pundits players press. Nobody says it how it is - fotball has become shit, cheating has ruined the sport, cheating is constantly rewarded...yet nobody ever comes out and says it.
Because it hasn't ruined the sport. Your being more over dramatic than the diving players. It's slightly annoying sometimes but it has in no way ruined the sport otherwise you'd have stopped watching it. The way people act they seem to think that football used to be like bloody blood sport it has always been a soft game. The tackles used to be a bit harder but that was about it. If you want watch sportsman knock seven shades of shite out of each other go watch boxing or rugby.
Hear, hear.
I dislike the diving and dramatic embellishment just as much as everyone going on about it but to hear some of these rants you'd think they would all want every club to be a Dirty Leeds.

At least Adrian Chiles has had the guts to call out players for what they are. Viera, rather embarrassingly, has trotted out the type of quotes you list. It's time then that the laws were changed and players could be suspended afterwards for such behaviour.
I have a feeling had it been Rooney with the embellishment Chiles would have said the same as Vieira.
Agreed. If he didn't go back and put his head (however gently) into Muller's, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Yes, Muller acted like a ****. But Pepe brought the red card on himself.pudge & rodge said:As poor as Muller's initial reaction was, the rules shouldn't be changed to accomodate ill-tempered, idiotic twats like Pepe

Don't think so. He and Dixon were equally bemused by what happened in the opener when Brazil were gifted the penalty.

Cheers.
