Replacing one significantly flawed system with another significantly flawed system isn't the way to go imo.Much better than the status quo
I'd rather we be patient and get it right.

This would have normally been given before VAR, it’s cutting the cheating down
If the ref gets to review every time.Neville. Noticed you didn’t respond to this one.
Forgetting everything else - you must agree it’s bloody nice a player can no longer get away with blatant diving and play acting now the ref has a opportunity to review ?

Pmsl. The VAR has reviewed this post and decided it's the most pot-kettle-black moment in Bluemoon history.

Hahaha. The only thing you got right was that you are not a rules expert.IMO the defender did try to make a play on the ball - still, it was a foul, he was the last man, and Croatia would clearly have scored absent the penalty. I'm not a rules expert, but parity suggests that the defender has to be sent off. On the Fox broadcast, Dr. Joe said the same. If I'm correct, this is a huge VAR error.
So far one penalty has been ruled out. I know you're keen to talk up VAR but we're yet to see if we suffer the same inconsistency in referrals as wehavein other areas. So far I’ve not seen a penalty given for blatent diving , have you ?
In any previous tournament they are given all the time.
That’s a major milestone

Only if all decisions are reviewed. I'm not convinced that will happen. But before VAR , in any other tournaments. Players do ridicolous dives and the refs give penalty’s - they simply can not give them nowadays when they replay the incident. Surely you must see that as a major plus ?
Hard to assess VAR following yesterday's games.
VAR was consulted several times in the Brazil v. Mexico and Belgium v. Japan matches - never overruling the on-field decisions. Each time this occurred, game delay was minimal. So in the sense that the game should keep moving in spite of VAR - today was a success.
Whereas, I think that the Mexican player (don't know how it was) who stepped on Neymar as he reached to pick up the ball - that's, IMO, a clear-cut red. VAR seemed to have been consulted here. If so, I think that VAR reached the wrong decision.
Agreed. It's subjective if he 100% meant to step on him
+1Poncey Neymar should have gone too for simulation.
He was trodden on, lightly, with a rubber stud, not undergone limb amputation without anaesthetic.
Where are the var cheerleaders?
