Somebody who knew Tokyo gave us a list of places to go to.Can I ask what it was that made you feel that?
I've never been to Japan and I'm half-in and half-out as to whether it's a country I should try and get to before I'm too old and infirm.
Napoli? I thought it had a rugged charm.Best - Washington DC,New York, Barcelona, Stirling,Chester and Worcester.
Worst - Swansea,Leeds and Naples.
Going to Dubrovnik next summer :-)
It’s great. Get there post-haste and don’t overthink it. Tokyo is phenomenal and @Bill Walker has good comments. There’s also a thread or two (one very recent IIRC) where people talk about places to go there. The countryside is wonderful and many of the small towns are great, although expect a very stark difference between the major cities and the rural. It’s almost like two different countries. It’s not all roses, Japan does have a ‘rust-belt’ of old industrial cities, like those in Aomori Prefecture, that are struggling somewhat, but you’re unlikely to go there. Can I ask what it was that made you feel that?
