Worst big name actors.

Jim Carrey

Never thought he was particularly a top tier actor

Edit - been beaten to it
Disagree. Yeah he's known for his comic roles like Ace Ventura, Dumb And Dumber The Mask ect but given the right roles he's an outstanding actor.

The Truman Show
Man On The Moon
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

All great films and Carried by Carrey

For me it's got to be Vin Diesel.

Shocking actor who is as wooden as a 4x2 plank of wood. The only half decent performance I've seen him in is Saving Private Ryan and Steven Spielberg had the good sense to kill him off early. Even in his death scene he's fucking terrible.

Apparently he's earnt over 50 Million Dollars for playing Groot in the Marvel films and he only says 3 words!! Nice work if you can get it.

To be fair I think now we're just starting to add good actors to the thread for the sake of naming new names. Or maybe you only saw one movie - or type of movie - with them in it; here we're discussing their whole career if I understood correctly.

In the last couple of years I've seen him in two roles which has changed my opinion of him

Jeremy Thorpe in A very English scandal and Fletcher in The Gentlemen
Yeah, I think Grant's true skills suffered by being typecasted and put into so many romantic flicks. He's quite good when he gets a good role.

Thought it was just Aaron Ramsey scoring
Eh, I wish. Hopes up for today.

Not exactly a Hollywood blockbuster but Arthur Lowe was one of the worst and most overrated actors on British TV. He was always typecast as a pompous snob. His frequency of forgetting lines and stumbling over them were legendary. In Dad's Army they had to do so many takes of him cocking up his lines that they often ended up keeping the least worst one in the final cut. He frustrated the rest of the cast with his incompetence and apparently John Laurie, who was a respected Shakespearian actor back in the day, called him out for being a shit actor.

Oh come off it. The guy's the next Laurence Olivier.

To be fair to him, I've never seen him in anything else, and those were the worst scripts ever from a director who is famously awful at directing actors.

Not sure if him and the writer were in front of you and you only had one bullet which would get shot. As it’s that funny I would probably let them both off.

I don’t like sand haha must be the funniest unintentional scene ever put on film.

Presumably the mentions of Morgan Freeman, Russell Crowe and Robert De Niro were made in jest.
