worst city misses

Michael Hughes' last minute penalty against Everton. I think the ball landed in the Social Club.
There was also the largely forgotten Steve Mackenzie miss after rounding the Spurs keeper at Wembley. That would have been 2-0 and our whole history might have changed completely.

Was this a real miss or a miss in the "Gazza v Germany 1996" sense - i.e. he just can't reach it? Good shout though...

If memory serves me right (and I was pretty pissed) it was more of a Roger Davies, Derby v Chelsea sort of miss). I think he rounded the keeper, but then took a heavy touch)

Gordon Smith in the FA Cup final against the Rags. OK, he wasn't playing for us then, but it was galling just the same.

Bianchi at home to Blackburn under Sven. Petrov flashses it across goal, all it needs is a touch, Rolando must be a yard out waiting to pounce. Misses the ball altogether.

Tevez away at Sunderland

When i saw the thread this popped into my head instantly. The miss made even worse by the fact we ended up losing despite dominating the whole first half.
