MmmAgreed IMHO. Kevin Keegan had his shortcomings at times but he knew a footballer when he saw one. Which is why I have never been able to understand how on earth he came to sign Negouai.

As I said, KK had his shortcomings. I'm not for one minute disputing that he made some duff signings, but he made some decent ones as well - Ali B, Berkovic, Pearce for example. All those who you mention at least looked like footballers, or had once been, but Negouai didn't even come close to that.Mmm

When you add in the crocks he signed who may have been decent footballers previously but we're injury riddled liabilities for us I think his record in the transfer market wasnt great.
