Worst refereeing decisions involving City?

Charlton 2-2 City

Anelka got taken clean out by a slide tackle with the defender no where near the ball. Referee gave a goal kick. After the game even Curbishley said it should have been a penalty. We had been 2-0 down and Foe equalised late on.

Millwall 2-3 City

They got a penalty after Dunne was accused of handball. It hit the middle of his stomach with his hands no where near the ball. SWP scored the winner late on.

Should be plenty of scope for long and bitter memories here. One among many is the penalty given to the rags at the Stretford End after Rosler's chip over Schmeichel had put City in front in the F.A. Cup match.

Came here to post just that. If I remember correctly I think it was the illegitimate Ryan Giggs taking a corner when the phantom penno "happened."

I had started following City before this, but that outrageous incident always sticks out to me as the first moment I truly, truly, truly felt hatred for the rag vermin. I mean more than just "disliking them." More like "wishing they would someday appoint an utter bellend as a manager and drop to 7th place" level of hatred.

4th Round of the Cup in Feb 1996 I think it was.

A few come to mind. 1981 SF v Scousers when we were on a good roll and Reeves scored a perfectly good header which we could see clearly from the Kippax. Even the Liverpool players started blaming each other but by the time me and my friends stopped jumping around Liverpool were in our area and we couldn't understand how that could happen - fucking hell, he's disallowed it!
The joke Cantona decision at The swamp already referred to was truly appalling as Frontzeck was nowhere near touching him.
The Owen goal again at the Swamp was just plain cheating.
Many more terrible ones but these 3 left terrible football scars

Couldn't have selected a more apt collection. Reckon we get the rub of the green now a lot more however.
