I understand where you are coming from
there's little atmosphere just noise
the grounds are half empty yet we are told it's a sell out
the footy has been poor and the ball hasn't helped at all

roll on the second lot of games, things have to improve because if htye don't then the OP's assertion will be correct

I really am hoping for that improvement. I've always loved the WC in the past. As I type the Dutch score & the only reaction we get is slightly more noise from the vuvuzelas :-(

Bloody hell Cheesy bit early for this mate. Brazil and Spain are yet to arrive on the scene yet. Brazils group should be interesting with Portugal and Ivory Coast in there as well and like someone said - nobody wants to lose their first game. Teams will be forced to play much more in the next couple of games whereas some have been delighted to take a draw in the opener

Constant moaning.
It's the world cup, enjoy yourself ffs.

The games haven't been great, but it's very early on, it'll get better when the tournament goes on.

Maybe it is a little early, I'm just not getting it at the moment.

It's possible that there's a reason I'm not that's not football related I suppose. Always 'shared' the WC with my Dad before, so now that I can't perhaps that's what's missing.

Could this be it? Early days yet I know, but so far... negative tactics, no flair, no great goals, fcuking vuvuzelas, a beach ball, grounds not full, only one good team performance.

Just not getting in to it at all :-(

the knock-out stages could be worse if teams play for penalties,up to now its been like bluesquare premier to a background of pure monotony.

It will spark into life at some point. Ozils performance yesterday has given us something to look out for. The world could be about to see a top talent come of age with that lad, just a shame he's German

Italy 90 was worse..Japan 2002 was worse..France was rather bad..

We are not even close to the worst ever tournament.
