Would the UK ever "revolt"

In a nutshell no,the passivity of the general English populace would be greatest deterrent.
Though if Coronation St.,Eastenders,Emmerdale,X Factor,Celebrity Big Brother,Masterchef, were put on pay per view I may amend my views.
The goverment are trying to privatise the NHS by the backdoor, allowing multinationals to take the piss,in regards to paying the tax they owe,and spunking money on the Olympic games, whilst talking about cutting peoples take home pay according to their geographical location.
Yet still we have not a peep, apart from a few nasty letters to the Guardian.
Multinationals paid even less in tax under the last government, for fucks sake, at least get your facts right. At least this government is trying to close those loopholes, Labour didn't in over a decade whilst plundering pension funds.

Also, which government was it that bid for the Olympics??

Other than that, great points.

No. Look at the smoking ban - while our European peers put 2 fingers up to their Governments and carried on puffing way indoors we just accepted it.

In a few years there'll be no jobs, no NHS, no free motorway travel, no cheap train tickets and all the property in London and the South East will have been snapped up by the highest bidders - probably wealthy businessmen from China, Russial and the middle east.

And we'll still be wondering how it all happened.

I wouldn't "revolt" as we have a process for change that doesn't include acting like toddlers at bed time.

Well thank god i can leave and work elsewhere

Not unless we were incentivised to do so, revolts don't come cheap and require actual effort and planning. Some kind of guarantee of the reimbursement of lost earnings from the Government would be nice too.
