I was discussing this with a few of my mates today, after hearing about road privatisation, and potentially charging us for using certain roads, in addition to road tax.

Taking into account how much we are taxed etc already, the price of fuel, utility bills, having to sort your own pensions because the state can't afford to keep you when you retire etc.

Christ, the french were rioting over an extension to the retirement age of 2 years (i think).

Cameron & gordon brown admitted over 4 years ago, that for every £3 brought in, there is £4 going out, which is surely only getting worse.

Will us working people ever finally say enough is enough, or just keep getting kicked on the bollocks, and never do anything about it?

just interested to get other peoples thoughts?

I predict within 5 years there will be major civil unrest in this country if things keep on the way they are.

I will be 32 in 5 years time i cant be bothered with civil unrest

Take my brother for example he doesn't even know what an economy is really. He is married and has his baby, he goes to work every day and leads a comfortable life he doesn't know anything outside his own little bubble and has no interest in finding out either. Now he is one of many millions who are very much the same in this country and that's why i think we wont have civil unrest any time soon

We've had several revolts in recent times, the miners, the poll tax and the more recent half-assed shoplifter riots sparked by another police shooting. The masses get slapped down very easily by a combination of force and propoganda. The machine is too powerful for us to rage against. I think it would take an economic meltdown the level of Greece to see enough working classes unite a truly revolt.

Yes how dare the police shoot a known criminal thug who deals class a drugs, made other peoples lives a misery and was wanted for murder and is knowing for carrying a weapon. Who the fuck do they think they are

I don't think our police force should be going around shooting anybody with live rounds to be honest.
