In a nutshell no,the passivity of the general English populace would be greatest deterrent.
Though if Coronation St.,Eastenders,Emmerdale,X Factor,Celebrity Big Brother,Masterchef, were put on pay per view I may amend my views.
The goverment are trying to privatise the NHS by the backdoor, allowing multinationals to take the piss,in regards to paying the tax they owe,and spunking money on the Olympic games, whilst talking about cutting peoples take home pay according to their geographical location.
Yet still we have not a peep, apart from a few nasty letters to the Guardian.
Multinationals paid even less in tax under the last government, for fucks sake, at least get your facts right. At least this government is trying to close those loopholes, Labour didn't in over a decade whilst plundering pension funds.

Also, which government was it that bid for the Olympics??

Other than that, great points.
Who mentioned goverments?,the Labour party and Conservative/Liberal alliance, all take the passivity of the general populace as a given.
You did.

enough is enough already, there's just too many people who are apathetic or have the "I'm alright Jack" mentality.

Everyone looks out for themselves these days.

So what its been the same for years. What are you going to do start a revolt??

Good luck with that, for the record im out

nothing, when the time's right I'll probably emigrate, If you guys want to be apathetic and get bummed continuously that's your problem.

Privatising the roads and charging more for it would make me less than happy.

But, but.........?
What? It would, it's a ludicrous idea.

Maybe if they used 100% of road tax on the roads they wouldn't need to look at privatising parts of it.

I travel up the A34/M40/M42 and M6 every weekend. I use the toll road as it cuts a lot of time and stress out of my journey, and I think it's worth the money. If some private company built a toll road between J15 - J19 of the M6, I'd pay for that as well.

Let the private companies build the roads, and if people don't want to use them, then they'll lose money (mind you, we all know for a fact that before putting money in, a private company will get cast iron guarantees from the government that their income stream will be 'sorted').

I think your attitude stinks of the "Im alright Jack" attitude and dont you dare question me because my Grandad died last year

I know this will annoy a lot of bluemoaners down here but i like living in England, i like my life, my job, where i live and my lifestyle. I think far too many people spend too much time worrying about things that dont affect them rather than the things that actually do. Its not to say im not sympathetic to people in other situations because i am but i cant spend my whole life feeling sorry for them

I bet you laugh at the poor snow leopards and deliberately have a Sushi feast whenever you hear of Japanese whale hunting.

I also reckon you hang around job centres just to woman slap scrotes and deliberately deflate tyres on people's wheelchairs.

I also think you and Sweep love bumming each other.
