Would the UK ever "revolt"

I know this will annoy a lot of bluemoaners down here but i like living in England, i like my life, my job, where i live and my lifestyle. I think far too many people spend too much time worrying about things that dont affect them rather than the things that actually do. Its not to say im not sympathetic to people in other situations because i am but i cant spend my whole life feeling sorry for them

I bet you laugh at the poor snow leopards and deliberately have a Sushi feast whenever you hear of Japanese whale hunting.

I also reckon you hang around job centres just to woman slap scrotes and deliberately deflate tyres on people's wheelchairs.

I also think you and Sweep love bumming each other.

Are you stalking me, i thought no one knew!

I saw the PM's you and Sweep have been exchanging when he left his computer on when I went round to his for a 6 course fine dining meal with complimentary wine all paid for by him and to collect the bribes in brown envelopes, sorry, "correspondence" from him so that I make sure he wins the F1 Comp...sorry, *cough*, the F1 Competition runs smoothly.

I think the only way we would see mass civil unrest, insurrection and chaos would be if they took EastEnders off the air, made alcohol illegal and closed down Gala bingo halls.
The British are a fairly stoic and docile bunch,in general.
You could probably burst into a family dwelling in the home counties at tea time, crucify the mother to the front door with a nail gun,bum the eldest son senseless and turn his sister into a glove puppet, and the father would just shake his head in disgust,tut-tut a bit, then dash off a strongly worded letter to his local paper about declining moral standards.

We've had several revolts in recent times, the miners, the poll tax and the more recent half-assed shoplifter riots sparked by another police shooting. The masses get slapped down very easily by a combination of force and propoganda. The machine is too powerful for us to rage against. I think it would take an economic meltdown the level of Greece to see enough working classes unite a truly revolt.

Yes how dare the police shoot a known criminal thug who deals class a drugs, made other peoples lives a misery and was wanted for murder and is knowing for carrying a weapon. Who the fuck do they think they are

when the gas, electric, telecom, rail and water industries were given away, bills have sky-rocketed, infra-structure investment is non-existent and jobs and services have been decimated, or out-sourced to the third world.
The post-office, roads and NHS will be exactly the same.
This year, when disposable income for the vast majority of the population is diminishing faster than at any time since the war, share-holder dividends are higher than at any time since the first world war. More than 50% of shares are owned by less than 5% of the population.
The general public, under the influence of a ruthless media, is sleep-walking into a nightmare return to the horrors of victorian england.
As a taste of the delights to come, a visit to a doctor in Orlando cost $300, a tube of Zovirax( £5-50 in the UK) $103. No wonder the NHS is seen as the ultimate cash cow by the tories.
A revolt needs a focus or at least a leader. A politicised media and police/intelligence service will make sure it never happens.

What defines "working class" these days in the UK, only having one 40 inch flat screen tv?

What are people going to revolt about ?

Even bone idle pissheads seem to have an easy life from reading threads on here.

Is the problem that workers are worse off than non workers?

Genuine question.

The problem is that people measure happiness based on the accumulation of consumer goods.
