From a "Muslim colleague that shares the same office"? Brilliant. Well I (unlike him) happen to live in a Muslim country.

I know plenty of Christians in my office, I very much doubt if any of them would know what the sentence is for various different crimes in Brazil and Mexico.

Well, in the office he had a Koran , a prayer mat and a few religous books. He's been Muslim for over 40 years, his family are Muslim, he goes to mosque every Friday, etc. etc. Why should I believe you (<---- a person on the internet who refuses to provide back up) over him?

Short? That's enough isn't it ? Think it would be well worth it if they introduced it in this country, crime would fall tenfold if tougher laws were brought in.

I DON'T think he does know the punishment like you say!!! But when he told me the law and punishment for chopping hands off he backed it up! Back it up with a good source and I can consider changing my viewpoint, untill then, because he backed it up I believe him over some guy on the internet who says he lives in a Muslim country and acts like a keyboard warrior on BlueMoon.

I've read every post in the thread - it's still pathetic. I own a book which is set in Australia. Could I tell you the punishment for all the crimes in Australia? That is basically what you are suggesting just substituting a religion for a country.

Here in England, I've heard it often over the years that if someone is caught strealing the hand gets chopped off. Now, those that claim they know better than me would do well to provide some useful links to fact. If I did the Google search myself I'll get results on both sides and not know for certain which is fact. However, if law links and similiar links like the one I provided earlier can be provided, great!
