It may have been smart, but the colour was wholly incongruous to our heritage; 1978-81 apart, possibly.

I'd rather we were broke and playing in League 2 than rich and playing in red (home kit). Red and Black away kit, when we have it, is already too much red for me.

I don't want to see a return to lazer blue by any means, but do you not think the blue in recent years has been a lot lighter than in the past?

I'm only going off photos, but wouldn't you say the lazer blue was probably closer to the 1968 shirt colour than the 2012 shirt was?

I have no problems with red and black stripes.

City won a fair amount in that kit. Also don't forget that United's European Cup win in 1968 was done while playing in Blue.

At the gym today they were showing Sydney v Melbourne City. Sydney were playing in light blue shirts and socks, dark blue shorts. Melbourne were playing in red & white striped shirts, red shorts, white socks. My brain just couldnt compute it.

Still happy to walk around in red Wales gear so perhaps I'm special. Bumped in to @ob on my break before City v Pope Fans and he gave me a playful dig about my Wales pass holder too! It don't bother me.
