Would you have Baconface as manager?

To each their own but personally I have never hated Rooney so I'd have absolutely no problems with him coming to us.

I've always felt that he's got more in common with us than them anyway - he's a down-to-earth lad from a humble background, a working class hero-type into Oasis etc. He never really suited the rags in exactly the same way that Tevez never really suited them.
I'm not talking about on the pitch. I mean as iconic figures. As individuals.

I've also always had the impression that he quite likes us and perhaps thats an affinity in-built from being a lifelong Bluenose and rooting for the 'underdog' in a major city.

Lastly, he has fallen out with Ferguson, and an enemy of an enemy is a friend.

Whether he comes to City or heads elsewhere I wish him well because, make no bones about it, today is a significant tipping point in the decline of Manchester United FC. And Rooney has been the cause of that.

Because it's an admission that we can't win trophies without their help in all honesty. I actually HATE the guy, he's a badge kissing, un-loyal, granny shagging, petualant little twat. He's everything I and everyone else hates about the rags. So I'll ask you again, would you have Fergie now (or at any point during his time at the rags) managing us? Explain your reasons either way please.

I'd have Fergie pre 2000. In fact, I'd snap your fucking hand off for that. I've just posted my feeling her, so I'll link you to them instead:

I also don't understand how paying a fortune for their poster boy, and him coming here against their will is getting them to help us.
Fair enough. That just sort of defeats the object of being a City fan imo. Even when we were in the depths of division 2, even when we hadn't scored at home for 8 months under Pearce, I wouldn't have dreamt of swapping managers with that lot. This is sort of baffling to me. The reason alot of people become City fans is because they hate what United are all about, the way they go about their business. If you don't care about any of that stuff, why not just support the rags? (If, like me you were forced to support the blues by your das as a baby then you're excused!)

Because I really couldn't care less about United. I don't like them, I don't hate them; I nothing them. I don't think about them at all, unless the derby is coming up.

I support City because I love the club that WE are. I love the family atmosphere, I love the community work, I love the attitude of the fans on matchday.

I don't support City because I don't like United, I support City because I like City.

But this argument takes no account of the fact that football is first and foremost a profession for players, not a labour of love. It's a nonsense to suggest otherwise.

You'd be happy with Baconface managing us then? It's just that you haven't actually answered the question.

Tit

fucking hell do you not see it??

Alex Ferguson would NEVER EVER EVER join City as the same with Gary Neville because they are Utd through and through. If Fegie ever came to city which he wont I would have him as he’s been the most successful british manager in history. Rooney or another person who would consider playing for us then they would get my backing. Hey Manchester City wont stop moving forward because carrconormcfc doesn’t want wayne rooney you know!...either put up with it or find another club its that simple.
You've still not answered the question but are doing a fine job of sidestepping it I must say. Obviously Rooney would get my backing if he signed, I certainly wont boo him anyway.

The point is, say hypothetically we were linked to Fergie and hypothetically he wanted to come here, would you be for or against him coming? Simple as that. I'm not asking if you'd support them once they've signed.

-- 20 Oct 2010, 02:01 --

What? I'm not talking about the players and managers, I'm talking about how you as a fan would react if Baconface was linked to us.

What happened to Rooney being a 'fornicator' Pam?

YES!

With respect Carrconormcfc your attempt to reveal hypocrisy within the pro-Rooney camp is disingenuous in the extreme because you're comparing a reviled, lying, booze-soaked, loathesome football manager who is synonimous with everything we hate about the rags....to a 24 year old footballer who has never bad-mouthed or disrespected City.

Even in its basic form your comparison doesnt hold up. Look at the flak Mancini gets on here - a guy who has taken us to 2nd place - compared to any City player you care to mention.
