Would you prefer to be s**t again?

Swindon '65 or Bury,Lincoln,York,Wycombe,Snackpot in the 1st & 2nd.

What was worse for me was the Pearce year in the CoMs. New ground, new beginning OLD SHITE.

Demoralising.
That too was my lowest ebb as a City fan. After such an exhilarating journey, it seemed we were cursed to die of boredom when we finally got to the other end and re-established ourselves in the Premier League. Must confess, I seriously lost interest around that time. My love for City was too deep for that disinterest to last, but at the time I wasn't that bothered. I was stupidly in love with my then fiancé at that time, mind. That definitely played a part too. Fuck me, was she in for a shock as soon as Sven arrived. The beast inside me re-awoke at that time. She was genuinely shocked at how far I immersed myself into City when things got interesting again. That genuinely played a big part in my subsequent divorce from her.

I was a child, with players to look upon such as Mcnab and Perry Suckling. I loved and love CITY No matter what. I hear the older fans talk about Bell with joy in their voices. Why the fuck would i not want my boy to see the greats of MCFC lift trophys and be better than them lot..!!!
CTID.

The last season under Pearce was my lowest point. No entertainment. I'd much, much rather have the positive glimpses we've had under Pep this season than that again.

City ruining marriages since 2007.

wouldnt prefer to be shit again, but part of me feels the anticipation and joy has completely left us in the past few seasons. we now go into games expectant and the stadium seems completely passionless.

This lad makes a few very good points for me. With the way the club's going regarding away tickets, pricing out local fans etc would you be happy if tomorrow Sheikh Mansour said he's selling us and we went back to the club we used to be? Genuinely not sure on my answer, really not liking the way the club is going.

Become like most of the Prem and be owned by a mere billionaire - relegation fights, survival, relegation, 'big matches' against Sheffield United, barely a goal scored for months while the vermin go from strength to strength and fan demonstrations. Even before Thaksin's money came in, we had the tenth biggest turnover in Europe. Why ? Because Franny Lee transformed the commercial performance of the club. I'm lucky enough to remember the great days of the late 60s to late 70s, and the subsequent fall from grace after Peter Swales started signing players without the manager, Big Mal's agreement - e.g. Steve Daley at about twice his true value. Go back to those days .......????? No thanks.

To be honest I enjoyed Kevin Keegan's promotion season far more than this season

I don't think anyone would really want to go back to those days but they were enjoyable because there was no or very low expectations. You went to games not for the quality of the football or to see us win anything but to have a laugh and a day out. Nowadays there are completely different expectations and it's all so serious.
The phrase 'Rose coloured specs' springs to mind. Despite the inflatable bananas, those days were not enjoyable. For how many years did the 'Swales out' chants last ? Several years. Some fans even protested against our own legend, Franny. Franny was our Sergio of his day with King Colin our Silva. Masses of idiot fans protested against him while all the time he was sorting out the economic catastrophe he inherited from Swales. The Etihad relocation was a Franny initiative - no Franny, no big stadium for us and possibly no Sheikh Mansour. We should be eternally grateful for what Franny did for us on the pitch and off it.
