'Wow' Moments in Video Games

Ocarina of Time was pretty sensational at the time. When you first walked into that big field with the castle in the distance. By the time you got there it was night time.

Did you ever try Riven?

Yes, I finished Riven but never got to the end of the third one. Funnily enough, although I hardly ever play games now, and can't imagine having the time to spend on something like that, I've somehow ended up part of the crowd-funding for the original Myst developers' new project, called Obduction. It's not due for release until late 2016, and might never materialise I suppose, but couldn't help myself contributing a few quid towards getting it started.

Did anyone ever mention this level?

Went from heart pounding because I'm trying to not be seen to heart pounding because I'm trying to stay alive very very quickly!

Not played a video game for years. (Apart from those ipad type games)

Most memorable wow factor was Christmas NiGHTs into Dreams. For the Saturn. Just had me at the right age, the right time of year etc. The way it played, sounded, looked. Was a big wow at the time.

Night elf starting area in world of warcraft. My first mmo experience coupled with the music just blew me away!
Brilliant wasn't it my brother had a level 40 dwarf and took me to Ironforge and I was hooked for years I'm going to resub in winter

Modern warfare when you kill all them people at the airport sticks out in my mind. Red dead redemption too, a few times I would just stand looking at the graphics. Gta 3 was the first game I played that got me hooked. Like mentioned, to walk around a city doing whatever you wanted was class.
