'Wow' Moments in Video Games

Two biggest 'wow' moments I've had on the PS4 so far:
1) Giraffe scene in The Last of Us.
2) Seeing the massive planet outside the spaceship for the first time in Alien Isolation.

got my 64 out the other week. Golden eye was hurting my eyes playing it on a big tv screen..the pixels are so stretched. Still fun and great nostalgia haha. I'm quite cynical of wow moments in games now, as we've seen it all. I think the next wow moment will be Star Wars Battlefront.
Off the top of my head a few wow moments that stood out for me were D-day landings in Medal of Honor Allied Assault. GTA 3, just the concept of GTA being 3d, walking round shooting people and nicking cars. The fact you were able to look through the iron sights on Call of Duty was revolutionary. One of the first levels on the original Call of Duty was just un real, it was pretty much the scene from Band of Brothers when they took out a gun battery.

Think i got a full years play out of goldeneye, thats what i call value for money. Wish i still had a N64.

Not really a video game, and really not at all in the genre of most of the above, but I remember being awestruck when I played Myst. Hard to believe it's over 20 years ago when me and my house mates started playing it, and then sat up to 3 or 4am for a whole week trying to break some of the puzzles. The graphics and game play at the time were unlike anything else I'd ever seen, and the complete immersion it caused was astounding.
I've not really played games since our kids were born, and the last console I had was the original Playstation, and I remember being amazed by Gran Turismo's graphics, and becoming totally addicted to all the Tomb Raider games.
