I knew two people at university who were from Wrexham. They supported Liverpool and United without much as a reference to a football club from Wrexham. Looking at their socials over the years, they’re suddenly dyed in the wool Wrexham supporters.

I knew someone similar who was a Liverpool fan now "always been Wrexham"

When Liverpool get a decision against them though in a PL game, the "neutral fan" in him always backs them

Fuckin North Derbyshire and Lincolnshire as well as the West Country are full of 'em with usual "I'm Liverpool, me brother is Man Yoo hur hur hur" shtick...one Chesterfield supporter and season ticket holders even told me he'd want "Man Yoo" to beat his home town team if they met. It's embarrassing. End of conversation for me usually.

Had to google "the other one", as I've never seen anything he's been in. But yeah; McElhenney is an actor, apparently. Most famous (?) for "It's always sunny in Philadelphia". It maybe time to speak to my parole officer about getting out a bit more.
 
I caught the Abergele-Manchester train last Saturday Morning, but didn't realise that our lunchtime game v Palace clashed with Wigan v Wrexham.

There were hundreds of Wrexham fans on the train, but the vast majority were under 21, so they've obviously worked hard to gain the next generation.

Good on them. It's good to see what's happening at the club. Who gives a shit who the owners are. They appear to have done a cracking job up to now.
