i don't want Mourinho! He will bring a bad name to the club and only be a short term manager.

I see where you're coming from but Mourinho = Trophies. and that's a fact.

I agree he'd only be here as long as it suits him but I would not mind if Mourinho came for couple seasons, we won something nice and during his tenure we would already have in mind who is the next Long term manager who would take over after Jose

First off, I want Mancini to stay long term, that's how I see a prolonged success and not a Chelsea situation.

But, it's fairly obvious to me the only way bobby will still be here at the start of next season is if we retain the league.

New board, he obviously didnt want to sell Mario even if he understood the reasons, the summer window, the window just closed, the contract situation at the end of last season although he got a new deal and a few other bits. I don't think a second place and fa cup win would save him.

I hope I am wrong. I don't want to get in to a situation where if you don't win the league and or champions league we change manger but I fear that's the future.

I'd be very surprised if he is here next year. Shame really and hope I am wrong.

Since the takeover, what has been done to suggest this is the sort of approach the board will take?

I might be wrong but the impression I get is the exact opposite. Rich they maybe, but so far, they seem very realistic.

I think Bobby is safe for a few years yet.

Well since the takeover it wasn't going to happen overnight. They didnt expect the league immediately but they want noticeable improvement for their investment. Hughes spent and results were poor. Gone. Mancini spent , fa cup was won. more was spent and by most accounts he was gone apart from a wave of Agueros boot. That gave him another season. Now we haven't progressed Europe wise and without another league win that, on paper looks like a backward step even with an fa cup win. We might win neither. We might win both. I don't know.

I just think if we don't win he league then we will start with a new manager next season. I sincerely hope I m wrong.
I think you could be right.

There is a lot of people adding 2 + 2 and getting 5. Doing no business inwards and selling Mario probably is more a sign of the club ensuring they meet FFP rules. As long as there is a downward trend on losses we will meet the requirements however a huge money signing might well affect it. And if you can name a club that has 4 top level strikers i'd be surprised. Notice how when he wasn't playing rumours and quotes from Dzeko thinking he was on his way? We have enough at the moment with Aguero Tevez and Dzeko and factor in a near fit Guidetti

What if he wins the FA cup or takes the rags to the last few weeks of the season. Sackable offence?

I fear that without the league he's gone. 2nd place and fa cup who knows. Might give him another crack at the champions league.

With club using the "Barcelona model" we better get used to rotating managers.

It's a very continental way of doing things. They don't sack managers for the sake of it but progress is a key part of it. I don't want to harp on but with the blatent poor business in the summer and lack of investment in this window, if we don't win the league, Mancini's fucked

Utd are in the Champions League and have weaknesses in goal, and midfield. And they are in the Champions League

They have signed nobody. (Zaha goes back to Palace despite Utd paying £15m)

That must mean Ferguson is going to be sacked at the end of the season!!!!

You rags are as boring as this transfer window

if he's fucked he's already fucked. win the league wont save his job coz his substitute must be signed in february. no any top manager wait the end of may and wait to see if mancini win or not to be signed

What I am saying is if we don't win the league. If we don't win it the rags will. So not sure of your point. I don't think you can sack a manager who wins the league. It has happened obviously at Madrid but doubt we would.
