Writing is on the wall

So easy to forget the shit and mess that Mancini inherited from Hughes and in just over three years the work the man has done in getting us to where we are today, from where we were is just phenomenal. People will always talk about the money but don't care to look at the outstanding job Mancini has done, not to mention how beautifully he played Ferguson last year into cracking up like we've never seen before. For me he really doesn't get the credit and respect he deserves. In Mancini I trust, he knows what he's doing.

+10000000. ;)

Spot on there, people are forgetting all this.

First off, I want Mancini to stay long term, that's how I see a prolonged success and not a Chelsea situation.

But, it's fairly obvious to me the only way bobby will still be here at the start of next season is if we retain the league.

New board, he obviously didnt want to sell Mario even if he understood the reasons, the summer window, the window just closed, the contract situation at the end of last season although he got a new deal and a few other bits. I don't think a second place and fa cup win would save him.

I hope I am wrong. I don't want to get in to a situation where if you don't win the league and or champions league we change manger but I fear that's the future.

I'd be very surprised if he is here next year. Shame really and hope I am wrong.

Bullshit. Don't know where you get the obvious from. There's only one league title to be won every season, doesn't mean that City will get it every season.

Furthermore, our owners are realistic people, not Abramovich. If they had wanted to sack Mancini, it would have happened a long time ago, when we missed out on that 4th spot.

2nd place and winning FA Cup should see him rightly safe, i think our European adventure will have to last longer next season for him to secure his job though.
I would go along with this
Tbh even if we ran them fuckers pretty close in the league and lost in the final i would stick with bobby.

Mate of mine had dinner with Bobby a couple of weeks ago (corporate), said Bobby was an amazing guy and whilst he didn't say anything explicit Bobby gave the impression he didn't think he would be there next season.

I cannot see bobby being sacked. Someone mentioned earlier that we implemented FFP far too radically. That is what occurred in last summers window and it turned into a farce.

This summer Bobby will be fully aware that txiki's job is the cull the 1st team squad getting rid of the deadwood. Leaving a core group of established 1st team players:
HART
ZABA
KOMPANY
NASTASIC
CLICHY
YAYA
SILVA
AGUERO

As our defence is already set, come the summer we will only need tolook at bringing in quality youth players that can still do a job when required.

The main issue will be adding quality to midfield and attack. We have already sold Mario, I think we will see Dzeko and Tevez moved on this summer allowing the purchase of either Cavani or Falcao - Guidetti will be promoted and given his opportunity to prove himself - so we will have Cavani/Falcao, Aguero, Guidetti. Another striker will be required and it may be someone like Jovetic.

In midfield we will need to add a attacking midfielder to help take the pressure of Silva - as the responsibility to unlock defences is reliant on him too much. I think we will also need that someone special who is tipped to become a great player - that may well be someone like Deulofeu from Barca.

Whatever happens summer is going to be our time when the mistakes are rectified. The debacle of last summer left us with a team that was still able to retain the title, but was not improved upon.

I honestly feel that Bobby should be here next season, The last situation we want is one of Chelsea's. Remember that if we do get rid of Bobby one fella called Baconface would be laughing because we have gone and sacked a manager who awoke the beast.

He did that before when he lined himself up with a French job. Was it Monaco? I'd personally prefer it if our Manager was secure in his position as it means things will be better throughout.

Sheikh Mansour will get the final say and he oversaw Mancini's appointment. Not winning the Premiership this season isn't the be all and end all. Only one Club can win it. The poor business in the last two transfer windows haven't helped matters...

It can't be right that a manager wins the league and still doesn't feel secure in his position, it can't do any good for the long term planning if the manager doesn't think he will be there the next season. Let's be honest if it wasn't for Fergiescum we would piss the league this year, instead because of him we will probably sack our manager.

He's signed a new contract to stay. The owner has a plan and I think the people who he has put in charge will stick to it. I think Mario was using up far too much of Mancini's time to be honest. He can now put that energy into the rest of the squad. I think the time was about right for Mario to move on, he was looking a bit stale this season. That said, there is nobody I will ever see in a city shirt again who will give me the feeling of calm I enjoyed when we got a penalty. It was going to be a goal, 100% nailed on.

If we want to see an example of limitless funds and chopping and changing, glance across to Chelsea, they are still not sorted are they.
