WSL Chelsea (A) - 16/11/24 - KO 17:30

I can't see her stopping. She's barely had any time this season, and every player needs a run of games to get into gear. We are not getting the best out of her whilst she sits on the bench. And when she comes on she won't be a bundle of joy with ten mins or so to drag a game back.

Glad you wrote that about Kelly.

Whilst I'm not her fan, with her arrogance, she still needs to be played into form like she had to a couple of years back and at this point, we might need a bit of selfish play from a player that likes to shoot at goal and provide an assist, every now and then!

I repeat "top scorer in the league".

Let me add 'Golden Boot Winner'!!
She's quite a frustrating player I find, not sure she did enough tonight, she had several decent/good chances and was quite wayward, and she didn't do enough in her general play for me.

For reference I often think the same about Haaland too, and both players stats, get bumped up by the hattricks against poorer sides.

As always tonight we missed the chances (mainly provided by chelsea it has to be said) to be 2-0 up at the break (without playing particularly well), so the inevitible felt well inevitible after about 60 minutes, good goals (well finishes) that they both were.

I don't disagree with you, however when both Haaland and Shaw have poor games, it's mainly down to nonexistent service, so they tend to snatch at the ones they do get.

Odd that we don't have proper playmakers in the team when this happens.

Some of the chances they both miss though are nothing to do with "poor service" for me, just shit finishing.

My point about the stats being masked by hattricks is also valid, and yet both cam score goals where quite honestly they shouldn't, hence the frustration I find in both.

Well, I find both very similar in terms of outcome when the team is playing great or playing poorly.

In both, the body language changes to one of frustration and snatching at chances as they don't know when the next one will come. When both are getting regular chances, they relax and make better decisions.

Quite odd, but that might be a general striker thing, but prominent in both of our strikers.

Biggest issue today was we gave them too much respect and they were more than happy that most of our possession build up was through Kennedy. Chelsea looking as though they think it's over - well it isn't and we will beat this shower at home - they are playing full of confidence & that can change with an injury or 2.
You mean an injury or two 'more"?

We (Chelsea) were without four starters last night; Sam Kerr, Lauren James, Niamh Charles, and Kadeisha Buchanan. Niamh has missed the whole season so far, Lauren has been absent for about 6 weeks. Both have a chance to be back after the international break but are more likely to return in mid January. Keesh has just damaged her ACL and is set to be out for a year. Sam has already missed nearly a year and is still some way short of being ready. Worse, Mia Fishel, who was brought in to be Sam's deputy, has also been injured for nearly a year. She is one of three key backups who were unavailable last night due to long term injuries.

Our injury situation is not as bad as it was for much of last season, but it's not good.

I think at this moment in time we rely on our first team more and the drop off is greater than you.

You guys you seem to have a more balanced squad and when players come in they understand the system & the drop off is not as great as ours. I thought you are well coached and solid but up until the first goal there was not a big difference - both teams looked timid.

It actually makes for a good battle and of course at least you are not like Arsenal whom we cannot stand ha!

When you play lesser teams do you dominate the ball control games or do Chelsea always play to defend and hit teams on the break
