What's the difference between Raw and Smackdown?

Is it like Rugby league and Rugby union?

Just different brand names. They are the same company but try to portray them as competing brands. Rosters are made up of different wrestlers, they have there own champions, however they do occasionally cross over.

Cheers Tim. Is one better than the other? (going tonight)

raw has the 'top' stars but smackdown have a lot of good performers as well. raw is live so they need to have the wrestlers less likely to balls it up on there. don't let me put you off though if you're watching smackdown, i took the lad to both 2 years ago and the smackdown was a far better night.

RAW does have the bigger names, but Smackdown has it's fair share, I am going tonight, looking forward to it!!

I was massively into wrestling 1997-2003 but then it really did begin to go downhill in my opinion. I'll watch it every now and again and still keep myself upto date with what's happening. Making it PG rated certainly hasn't helped as I really enjoyed the hardcore element. TNA is good to watch for a laugh cause it's wrestlers you remember from being a kid, but my word it's slow!

On a side note, Mick Foley will be signing his new book at Waterstones at the Trafford Centre on Friday at 4:30. He's my favourite of all time so I'm being sad and going.

will see you there!!!!

-- Tue Nov 09, 2010 6:44 pm --

Is the undetaker still on it? Must be getting on a bit now

he is currently injured at the moment. Just had a 'another' Kane Vs. Undertaker feud (which is due to carry on when he returns next year)

My lads went last night.

The Diva match was in Scum & Liverpool kits. Obviously meant to get the crowd going....

Do these fuckwits have no idea or what?
to be fair having just watched it on Sky when they come out wearing the rag kits half the crowd boos Michael Cole did say "reason for the boos many of the people in Manchester support the Manchester City"
